Friday Favorites | 10.20.2017 |

Hello Friday!  Today my mom is in town and there is no better shopping partner than her.  We are getting a head start on Christmas shopping #noshame and enjoying the day together before she heads to AZ for the winter!  But before I go, I wanted to share a few Friday Favorites with you!

Our couples small group

1 - my village

I have said it before and I will say it again --  We all need a village.  I am a self-professed "DIY-er" and I am not talking home improvement but weeks like last week where I was stretched thin, I am in awe of my village and their servant hearts.  I could not have done everything or survived last week without all of them.

2 - Harry Potter on CD

We decided it was time to read the Harry Potter series as a family but the first book was checked out at the library so we picked up the CD's.  A happy plan B turned into a better than plan A favorite.  We just finished book 1 and are going to watch the movie this weekend.  I have read them all before but they are so good, it's fun to read them again and watch my kids listen intently!

PS - It looks like book 1 -  Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is FREE right now on Kindle!

3 - School Photos

I shared on Instagram that last weekend I swapped out the kids school photos and I keep all prior years in the frame so it's like a little time capsule every year.  I am in awe of how much they have matured!  Babies don't keep....#needakleenex.

4 - Egg Nog Season

My husband LOVES egg nog.  He passed on the love to our son and they were both so excited to find it in the milk section last weekend.  The first bottle is almost gone.  We mostly use it for coffee creamer, you must try it.  I paired it with pumpkin flavored coffee this week and it rivals a pumpkin spice latte!

5 -  Meal Planning FB Live

I get lots of questions on why and how I meal planned so I shared this week.  Make sure to check it out :).

Before you go, here are a few other posts lately --

See what we have been wearing, eating, watching, reading and have coming up!

I hope you have the best weekend.  We have a full of fall fun weekend ahead.  I will see you back here Monday with a post all about a dirty 4-letter word...

Until next time, keep on keeping on with a joyful, faith-filled life.  #tribekoko

  1. I do the same with school pics and about died when I looked back at Brayden's preschool and kindergarten compared to this year! We are in the middle of Harry Potter's 2nd book and it's taking so long to read since Brayden has to read other stuff too and sometimes there's just no time, I'm reeaaaaaaaaaaally liking this cd idea! Have a great weekend!!

  4. Enjoy and savor every second with your Mama! What a fun day! What a wonderful week you have had. I am so proud of you for all you have accomplished. It really does take a village! I am so grateful to have you in mine! I love those school pictures. Thank you for the Harry Potter tip. I think I am going to get Maddi the collection for Christmas and so far Amazon has the best prices. Even beating out my beloved Costco and Scholastic!

  10. Oh, we all need a village and I can't imagine our lives without ours. We refer to ours as our "running group." I always say that they "multiply our joy and divide our grief." Great video, you need to be on the Food Network. Happy weekend!

  11. I'm going to have to try the egg nog and pumpkin coffee combo! One of my fall bucket list items was to learn to make a decent PSL so I could save some money.

  12. Glad your people showed up for you! My sister was just trying to convince me that I needed to read Harry Potter. Maybe I'll wait until my kids are a little older and we'll listen to them :) Hope you had a great time shopping with your mom and have a wonderful weekend.
