September Snapshot

Oh my goodness!  Every month I type the same.dang.thing but oh my word where do these months slip by to?  I just can't believe it.  I love this time of year for all those reasons, the weather, the activities and we are finally settling into a routine.  However, for the life of me the dance times are killing me this year.  One is at 6:05pm and one is at 5:15pm, I am constantly feeling like I missed something.

But enough of that, let's take a look back and let the pictures do most of the talking, shall we?

We started out the month with a visit from our favorite college co-ed for some Sonic car happy hour!

Then we cheered on the Cyclones to victory in our first home game!

We snuck in some Labor Day pool time at Nana and Papa's pool...

We even made it to the Drive-in with our dear friends to see Despicable Me 3 and Cars 3.  We loved both, some of us slept through the movies but we all enjoyed the dinner potluck and fried chicken!

We squeezed in some home improvement projects around the house like hanging these shelves, touching up paint and other random things like caulking our trim!  #excitingtimeshere

Lucy found she likes dressing up in my old dance costumes!

My friend Emilie and I took the littles for a day of shopping and lunch while the big kids were in school.  #momsgonewild

We celebrated Vera's birthday at our 2nd home game.

My mom took a survey to get the kids these funny helmets which did make for good photos!

We also cheers-ed to 5 years being breast cancer-free and another clear mammogram!

We took our annual trip to the orchard with my parents!

Lucy and I went to lunch at school for Vera's birthday!

Then Scott got a new job and had a few days off in the transition so we had a lunch date with Lucy.  She hates having all the attention, I tell you ;)!

Then I went on a women's retreat with my small group ladies!  We had fun hanging out on the swing and riding on the giant swing.  We laughed, we cried,  we jousted, we ate and we had so much fun away.

We cheered on our flag football player and he has had some memorable plays we have enjoyed replaying with him every night at bedtime.  One includes an 80 yard play for a touchdown.

We have hung out after school...

We have picked a bountiful harvest from our garden!

We enjoyed taking the kids out of school for a fun family trip to Omaha to visit the zoo!

Scott got to attend Lucy's story time while he was off work too!

We celebrated Vera's birthday with her friends!

We had our church picnic and threw marshmallows at our fun-loving pastors!

We played at home!

And enjoyed meeting up with friends for lunch and coffee!

We also loved walking the trails and being outside.

So there you have it our month in snapshots!   A lot can happen in 30 days and I am so thankful to reflect on how many memories we make and how much fun we pack in along with all the daily routines of school and activities and meals and baths and life!  It's fun to look back on these from years past and see what life was like!
