5 Friday Favorites: August 18th...

 Eeek!  It's Friday again, not sure how that happened.  This last full week of summer slipped by in a hurry.  This week's theme seems to center on the word encouragement.   Happy weekend my friends.  The Mr. took today off and we are on a fun family last summer adventure :). YAY!

{one -encouragement}

Yesterday, I shared on Instagram that my friend Ellie gifted me with a sweet KOKO bracelet in honor of our tribe's name.  I had ordered some awesome bracelets from her and she snuck that one in.  To say, I was touched would be an understatement.

Not one of us immune to discouragement.  In the state of our world today, there is never enough encouragement going around.  So friends, I want this space and this tribe to be known for encouragement.  To express encouragement daily and to spur others to keep on keeping on!  If you feel discouraged, encourage someone else...I assure you it will start to brighten your day!

{two - new bracelets}

Speaking of Ellie, she makes the most beautiful bracelets and all month long she is offering a fun $5 Friday sale on some of her bracelets.  Make sure you start your collection this month during this amazing sale.  I love supporting ladies living out their passion!

{three - birthday double date night}

Nothing encourages me more than spending time with friends.  AMEN?  My sweet friend Emilie is always a source of encouragement but we never go out alone with our husbands.  I decided to invite them to dinner with us for my birthday at Bonefish Grille.  I am excited to try out the #bangbangshrimp, eat my food slowly and let them do the dishes.  Right now they are featuring summer duos and I am not sure how I am going to choose.  Eating out with friends is a great birthday gift for sure.

{four - shopping with my mom}

My mom is the ultimate shopper.  It's her love language seriously.  For our birthdays, she loves to take us shopping and gift us with some new outfits.  She is SO good at picking out cute clothes I would never try on and telling us how beautiful we are in them.  Nothing encourages you more than sweet words like that, amen?

I got some new olive green pants and a fun floral print shirt from Loft and awesome grey jeans.  The pants are totally out of my comfort zone BUT she got me to try them and I love them.  Thanks mom for being so good to us (and dad too ;).

This little one got new shoes and rain boots  (thanks Grandma). She also got to make a Poppy at Build-A-Bear.  She has not let Poppy out of her sight since!

{five - share the love}

I love reading lots of other blogs during the week and I wanted to share a few that I loved this week with you.  One of my favorite quotes is a rising tide lifts all boats.  Amen?  We have to encourage others in the great work they are doing!

Tara shared about her back to school experience with her son.
Kindergarten was a rough transition here for us and her words spoke to me as I remembered those hard days.

Crystal shared ways to pray for our kids as they go back to school.
I want to write every area in my prayer journal and pray for my kids more specifically this year.

Molly shared about being caught in the worries.
Worry has always been an issue in my life.   If you ever worry, read this encouraging post.
