Anyone else??? Seriously...I need to get on the wrapping!
How has another week passed by? This month is flying by! I want to soak it all up but we have had a GI bug traveling through our home. We are on course to be all done today BUT you never know! I am thankful for washing machines and disinfectant wipes and caffeine. Here are my favorites this week...
Seriously, I am kind of sad cute outfit weather is gone (you know when people can actually see the outfit ;) and replaced with bulky coat weather BUT there are benefits. In this picture I may or may not be wearing the same outfit I wore the day before BUT you would never know ;)! I invested in this coat and it was even on sale. However, in our part of the country, you have to have a warm coat. It feels like its in the NEGATIVE digits this week. I love the fur edged hood and it stays on and doesn't blow off in the wind because we have wind folks, lots of it! I highly suggest it. I got a medium and it is fitted but I can wear bulky things underneath in case you are wondering for sizing!
I love, love, love this tradition. I love that people still mail them to us. This year I went with Vista Print (you can sneak a preview below). My kids insisted on putting ours up on the tree too! I got the holder at a local boutique years ago and I place it by our dining table so we can enjoy our friends and families all year long. Then at the end of the season, I punch holes in the corner and place them on a ring to keep in a little basket. My kids love looking at them. People may be surprised I keep them since I don't hold on to a lot BUT I love Christmas cards. If you send us one, I cherish them!!!!
Vera's Christmas Dance Recital
What is it about watching your daughter perform on stage doing what you loved that makes you teary??? When she dances, I just am reminded of how incredibly thankful the Lord gave me her. She shines and dances for Jesus! I may have teared up a couple of times (luckily it was dark!). She danced to Away In A Manger. Precious. Precious. Precious.
She has the sweetest teacher who loves the Lord and share the Jesus with each of her dancers. I am so thankful for Miss Molly and her daughter Addy for pouring into our girl! They are amazing!!!!
Scott's parents (left) and my parents (right) were able to come and watch their sweet tiny dancer perform!
A highlight of our week FOR SURE!!!!
Date Night Out
It was this guy's 34th birthday (he's older than me now ;) and we had his company party on his birthday. We got dressed up and headed out while my parents graciously offered to watch our 3 kids. We talked in a quiet car, ate a hot meal and socialized. It was a lovely evening away!
My dress is from TJ Maxx for $29, shoes are from Target (last year), necklace was a gift
House Tours - I love them. Seriously, a favorite
! When I go to someone's house I secretly hope they say, "Do you want a tour?" I just love looking at other people's homes, not in a coveting sort of way, just curious way! If you like to as well, check out this link up
with lots of them.
Don't forget to check out my festive finds
for the family including cute jammies for the whole family.
Next week, I'll be back with 10 on the 10th (delayed) and Fun Christmas Party games!
We have another fun weekend planned kicked off with Vera's Preschool Christmas Program today, a fun night out to see our local Christmas light display benefitting Make a Wish foundation, a cookie exchange at Nana's and celebrating Christmas with our dear friends! We should be able to squeeze in some relaxing, movie watching and present wrapping too! Have a great weekend faithful friends!
