Hey it's me, Erin...

Monday, October 3, 2016

Welcome to this little corner of cyber-space known as Perfectly Port!    Our mission is to keep on, keeping on #Tribekoko!  You will find encouragement and practical advice to keep on, keeping on toward a joyful, faith-filled life.  Let's connect on InstagramPinterest, or Facebook.

I am Erin, daughter of Christ, wife to Scott for 11 years, mom of 3 (ages 7, 5 and 1).  I am a teacher by degree(s) but hung that hat up for  now to stay home.  I fell in love with writing back in 10th grade yearbook class when my teacher taught us the power of words.  Ever since I was little I had many words both on my brain and rolling off the tongue.  Some things never change.  I moved around a lot as a kid (11 houses before I left home and became the Mrs.) and so though I was horribly shy at first, I learned to overcome the awkward and say "hello".

I accepted Jesus as my savior at the age of 22 in premarital counseling and have been running the race with a smile on my face ever since (although I fall face first from time to time), I am thankful for the redeeming grace of God (John 3:16).  You can read more about my testimony here.

I love caffeine (Hello #mom), coffee and Diet Mountain Dew are my go to drinks of choice!  I am curious by nature and may ask you 20 questions when we meet.  We love to travel!  I am all about logistics (how, when, where and why) and planning...where's my to do list!

I love football in the fall, decorating for the seasons, visiting our family spread out across the USA and spending lots of time at our family's lake cabin in the summer.  I am often found behind the wheel most afternoons carting kids to activities.  I love to hang out with friends and family, read blogs and books, workout (so I can eat dessert), shop (on the rare chance I can), watch TV (nothing scary), and don't love movies or Star Wars (I know I am the only one).

I have been blogging since 2009.  If you like what you read, please share.  My pictures won't always be edited, there may be too many pictures or at times none at all.  There may will be typos and run on sentences...I never did like proof-reading (even though I was the editor of my high school newspaper) but this blog is Perfectly Port!

I hope you come and visit and leave here knowing more about Jesus (I love him so) and encouraged (because life can be downright hard somedays).  Leave a note and say hello, I would love to connect with you.  Until next time, may you know you are enough in Christ and keep on, keeping on #tribekoko!

xoxo Erin

  1. Erin, you sound just adorable and remind me a lot of myself. :) I am a planner and often refer to myself as a logistical wizard. LOL I love decorating and have been blessed to be able to stay at home with our kids since two months before our son was born over 21 years ago...yes, that makes me feel old! So happy to read about you and and your precious family!!!
