I love traditions that span the generations...I remember assembling May day baskets when I was little and delivering to my neighbor friends. I always forget until the last minute (or until someone else drops one off at our house) that it is May Day! Never to fear, we always have a stock pile of all things little kiddos like in our pantry. This year we filled our baskets with traditional popcorn and then added a box of raisins and a John Deere Tractor fruit snack (a crowd pleaser!!!). Then Solon, Scott and I dropped off the 5 baskets at Solon's little neighbor friend's houses. This year, we did not doorbell dash...too much fun to hand them out and say hello!
Note the hand in the "basket" Solon taste tested the baskets to make sure they were acceptable (wink, wink)!
Placing the finishing touches...
Happy May Day - a fun tradition I hope to continue with our kiddos!
