Almost 22 months and SO big...

Could we love him anymore?  We think he is just the greatest thing God has blessed us with thus far in our life!  He is growing by leaps and bounds and loves on both Scott and I all the time - he is a sweet, nurturing, busy, physical, happy, Jesus-loving, innocent boy - and we love him and Praise God for him daily!

A glimpse at what he is up to now...
  • Loves his big boy bed for prayer time and play time but still sleeps in his crib
  • Bedtime is now 8:30 and wakes up about 7:30
  • 1 nap from around 12:15-3:00pm (sometimes a little longer with all this fun outdoor stuff)
  • Loves animals, choo-choo's, basketball, playing in the sand, and riding his new John Deere tractor
  • Loves to feed Cy dinner, pet her, give her treats, and pig pile on her (she tolerates him :)
  • Loves to be with his friends and gets excited to have playdates with them
  • Laughs at things he thinks are funny like things on TV, mom/dad, and his friends
  • Talking up a storm (not all of it makes sense - but that does not stop him)
  • His favorite phrases are "mommy", "No no Cy", "night-night", "shoot the ball", and "ready, set, go"
  • Still signs when he is done (but not just with eating, he will tell you he is done riding in the car, his stroller, done sitting in his high chair when we go out to eat) and signs for more but generally tell me more of what he wants :)
  • Wants to take his picture and say "cheese" and then look at the picture on the digital camera (technology - geesh)
  • Likes to talk on the telephone and whenever it rings he says "ello"
  • Knows all of his body parts and "boo boo" - had just a few of those
  • Working on colors - mostly everything is "ellow" (yellow) but knows red too (funny how he knows those 2 colors 1st :)
  • Working on counting - he knows how to count 1 -2 -3 really well (wonder why?)
  • Starting to really like puzzles and coloring too
  • When his nose is stuffed - he will repeat "nose" and point to it over and over again
  • Now tells us he has to poop before he goes - we are getting closer and occasionally goes #2 for daddy on the toilet (he then waves to the poopies and says "bye poopie" as they go down the toilet
  • Very sensitive - he gets really upset if he gets punished and his lip quivers, he will also cry if he gets hit or pushed by one of his friends
  • We are working on sharing toys (including the parks we go to - he thinks they are all his and only his)
  • Sits at the table in a booster and uses a fork and spoon well - still drinks out of a sippy cup or straw
  • Eats most anything we eat - not a huge lover of chicken or veggies but loves, loves, loves fruit :)
  • Loves bathtime and gets one nightly since he gets very dirty being outside everyday
  • Loves to go to the zoo, the park, and the library (soon we will add pool to that list I am sure)
  • Still very much attached to his blue blanket and pacifier and sleeps with a couple of stuffed animals (but those are not as important to him)
  • Likes to help do chores
  • Loves to cuddle and read books
  • Likes the shows Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Special Agent Oso (Disney), Chuggington (Disney), Thomas, and Zaboomafoo - generally he watches TV while I get ready in the morning and a little bit in the afternoon while I am making dinner
  • Loves to pray now and will spontaneously want to hold my hand and talk to "Jesus" and generally prays for his Uncle Josh or the choo-choos sometimes other people too!
  • He loves to be sung to - especially his 4 bedtimes songs which are: Jesus Loves Me, You are My Sunshine, This Little Light of Mine and The B-I-B-L-E :)  He then likes to raise the roof for Jesus!
  • He tells us "Love ew" and gives us lots of hugs and kisses and it melts my heart everytime - he still loves to cuddle with mommy especially at night and after boo-boos!
  • He does something new and awesome everyday and always makes us laugh, smile and makes mommy choke up out of pure admiration :)
As you can tell we just think the world of our little guy - he is such a sweet, smart and happy boy and we are so thankful to God for blessing us to be his parents and train him up to be a Godly man, husband and father someday (although I want to keep him pint-size forever).  Love you buddy!!!!!
