Scott's cousin Alana got married last weekend in a beautiful Iowa October outdoor wedding complete with a horse-drawn carriage entrance and exit. The wedding was beautiful from start to finish with so many thoughtful details.
The Entrance to the wedding site in the valley (tent is where the reception was held)
The carriage that took John and Alana off to a private cocktail hour and more pictures and the alter along the creek where they exchanged their very memorable vows. The ceremony was so unique and personal to the couple. We did a sing-along to an old western song titled "I Love You Too" and members of the wedding party read a prayer, the couple planted a tree in lieu of the unity candle the ring bearers were their pet dogs and they had a memorial song for Alana's late brother. All in all, it was a special day!
We took an opportunity to get some family shots since we had an extra pair of hands and beautiful scenery. Just as we wrapped up taking photos the sky opened up and for the remainder of the evening it rained like cats and dogs! Luckily, we got our car out of the valley (it took my in-laws 3 attempts to get up the big hill).
